We started with:
A little less then $3 in lace, ribbon and elastic. Mike ran them through the sewing machine and Viola!
Here's my finished ($3, less than hour of work) garter. That's exactly how much I cared about it about $3. I was never going to spend $30 on one at a store. I don't have two because what would I do with it after the wedding? It'll be fun for pictures and then I'll throw it to the crowd.
